North West 200
Thinking about doing the NW 200 and a tour of Ireland rather than the TT next year. I figured Eddie had been there before.
Got any info about things to see, what the atmosphere is like, do's and don't's etc.? I would ask about places to stay, but figured you were in the cottage on wheels...

Sorry Smiley old boy but we have never been to the NW , we have been thinking of going next year but up to press have not got round to having a more serious look at the feasibility of it , we have friends that rave about the atmosphere , and the beauty of Ireland is legendary , how many of you are there liable to be ? I will have a word with the guy that goes every year from here and organises it for up to a dozen of his mates so will have more of an idea than me , but yes if we do go it will be in the Bugilow and we too would want to have a look round some of the rest of Ireland while we were there and as I say by no means on the starting blocks yet , it will be nearer to christmas before we make our mind up , if you are still in contact with Timbo give him a shout he has been a few times I believe , I have not heard from him since the beginning of the year when he was trying to make his mind up what he was going to do this year ,

Just don't remind Tim about the time he went over from Canada all special to see the NW and it rained so hard they cancelled the whole thing. Didn't even get to see a practice! Hanging around a pub in a wet coat got old pretty quick!

So far, just the wife and I. Not a done deal, but looks promising. Over the years, I've developed a bit of feel as to how to attend big events like this, so feel *pretty* comfortable making arrangements, but would rather avoid any obvious mistakes, so am looking someone with a bit of a history there to give me some tips.
Don't know if I still have a good e-mail address for Timbo, but I'll see what I've got.
