First test of the thing. Wrong setting for the light that morning, but not too bad. Takes a lonnnnng time for 800 bikes to go by!

Looks like a well supported ride out there J,P , I like doing them sort of things I have done a few Santa runs and we used to have some good fun , missed the last 2 one as I was waiting to go in to hospital for a bypass op and the second the bike I was going to use let me down the night before so fingers crossed for this year

Yeah Eddy... This ride is a tradition now, but it is l-o-o-o-n-n-g-g...
Takes about 10 hours all told to get around the 350 miles or so. Lots of stops for food and lies and pointing at things. One year the wind was so bad it was washing sea spray up 50' on the Cabot Trail where it goes close to the water.
See what I mean about lies??

No, no! Really! There was like... 100 foot waves and the wind was so bad you had to ride with the side-stand down just to keep your balance... really...
This picture doesn't really show it like it was, but you can see the waves in the back... if you use a magnifying glass... and your imagination...
