The "Late" SOF
Hi Fans, sorry not to notice the FS Revival but I have been trying to plan retitrement at the end of July. (Larffs all round).
The truth is I will still be retained as a consultant and the extra money will be useful to suppliment the UK pension.
Booked to marshal at the TT, Sector 3 but can only manage practice week. Should be quiet on the Glenlough Campsite.

Yep, myself and young Neddy (well, he's only just over 65) will be at Gorse Lea and may be swapping around between there and the two other Flag positions, Knock Breck and Knock Breck 1, if there are the usual Marshal shortages during the early part of practice week.
We will both be leaving on the pm sailing to L'pool on Sat 1st June. Will miss the Marshal's Supper on Sunday and most of everything else.
Should be OK for the MGP and, hopefully, The Gold Cup.

Welcome back Chris. Nice to hear that you are well, and I hope Mrs SOF is well too, and still doing the margarita therapy that she discovered on her trip over here to Florida.

If you'zz doing the consultant thing, do you get to go play in the desert or can you do it from 'home'? How's all the family?

Welcome back!
So does "consultant" mean any more trips to Florida? Not sure how much longer we'll be here at this rate...

Sorry for delay in replying again but the Glenlough WiFi is a bit busy.
The consultancy may well mean travel to Florida and other exotic places. In fact I am now on my BlackBerry trying to book a flight to Finland for next Monday.
For those not on the Magic Island, the weather is the usual mixture of getting wet, sun burn and postponements.

Re: The "Late" SOF
With the ice caps melting and recent heavy snow and rains, there will soon be sufficient water for us all to join the Basking Sharks. I just hope that the Magic Island will not become submerged when we are all in the water. (Too much Bushys Beer).
I am planning to be at the MGP this year just so long as it won't clash with j.p.'s desired Cape Breton TT.

Re: The "Late" SOF
No too much likelihood of THAT! However, the timing of the MGP (sorry... "Classic") may work into my 'bucket list' schedule better than the TT itself. Month of May is usually a mess around home, but it clears up a little in the summer... Not this year... but there WILL be a visit!SOF wrote:I am planning to be at the MGP this year just so long as it won't clash with j.p.'s desired Cape Breton TT.
