The future is here??
I never saw this until this evening. can't believe it hasn't made more headlines.
The reputed range of electric bikes is now within my 65km commute. We use electric golf carts for all sorts of landscaping and people moving around the 'ranch'. WAY easier than the venerable Honda ATC.
Times they are a-changin'...

To be honest, I'm getting a little tired of stories like these. Electric motors are very sophisticated and are used in a huge array of applications. From tiny toy cars to submarines.
Their instant torque, dependability, low noise, etc. all make them well suited for transportation. They have been around since the early days of the automobile.
So the continual "shock" (so to speak) at their performance gets a little tiresome. "Train locomotive (diesel electric) pulls more weight than truck" sort of things.
I know they want to show them in a good light, but it is getting kind of silly.
The real problem is energy storage for practical use.
And to be fair, the electric TT race (forget the acronym) was way ahead of the curve at proving the usefulness of electric bikes.
