Evil car VS R1
Haven't posted anything here for a while. Must look up all the video from the GoPro and stick some on again.
Here is something I found by accident though and it is highly educational.
Sometimes, there is NO substitute for horsepower!

Yeah, neat car... Like that his target is a stone stock motorcycle. I guess all the car guys are tired of being humiliated by cheap bikes (relatively) off of the showroom floor.
Would be interested in seeing that against a turbo bike. When they used to have the horsepower shootout at Bike Week every year, bikes were making probably half the horsepower of that golf.
Would be an interesting matchup. Wonder what that VW does in the standing quarter mile?

I would think the bike would leave it in the dust from a standing start. Everything was a 'roll-on' comparison, which was pretty impressive, but it doesn't tell all.
I remember back in the day... (I'm soooo old!) that I desperately wanted a Holman Moody Ford Falcon with a 429 crammed into it. They actually produced it for a few years as a Ford 'Go Fast' sponsored thing. Not a piece of chrome or anything visible on the outside. Pure sleeper car. Just ready to blow anything away (in a straight line)...
Jay's got one a little like it, although the one I wanted was '68 to '70s...
