Re: A nice sunny day
Happy to report that the Swingarm is fitted along with new arm bearings wheel bearings and new tyre oil and filters changed and it has got its new mot ( roadworthy test that all bikes and cars have to have over here every year after they become three years old ) so bike is all ready to go but still needs taxing and that runs monthly so am waiting to put it back on the road from the first of May , the little Stinker the DT is still on the road so am not bike less , had a bit of a shock with the insurance , , it is due for renewal tomorrow and I had not had a reminder so rang them on Monday and they told me they had sent me a letter at the end of last month ( which I never received ) telling me that they could no longer cover me when I asked why the told me that the underwriters had altered their cover and would not cover my bike as it was fitted with more than a hundred pounds worth of accessories, a tank bag and a topbox , mmmm so it was on to the new second hand wap top and troll the net for cover after a couple of hrs I found one £50 cheaper than last year for better cover , so up theirs so am about ready for the pilgrimage to the IOM , but still to do before then is a three day BSB meeting at Oulton Park a great circuit I think , then the British round of the WSB at Donnington so a busy few weeks coming up

Re: A nice sunny day
Sounds great. I'd like a few nice bike trips to look forward to right now.
Yeah, I know all about MOT and tax disks for odd reasons. MOT from watching British TV, particularly "Wheeler Dealers". Tax disks due to a trip to the IOM on a rental where they did not put the latest disk (which they had purchased) on the bike before I left.
They were doing an over-the-top police check outside of the ferry lot, and I almost missed the TT! Thank goodness a helpful Brit with a mobile phone (Bill at Biketours UK) was with me and got it sorted (with an 80 pound fine to the bike dealer).

Must have been a shock to all the disc holder accessory makers!
