SUMMER! Yayyy!
Finally get a succession of good days... but the ride-on has a blown belt and a seized bearing...
but there is something faithfully waiting in the shadows...
No real choice there, eh??
It's across the bridge and over the mountain then!
The 'wiggly road' sign is out of the frame... Baddeck back roads
River behind the lot where I'll be designing a new house, and yes, there are trout in there!
On the way home again, Bras d'Or lakes at Baddeck
Next day WAS spent cutting grass though (after the fix)... Trim needed around this thing!
Lots of buzzers stocking up!
Hard to get in the mood for a workday Monday...

Re: SUMMER! Yayyy!
The 'wharf' (a.k.a. dock) saga for this year. It's an annual event, some years more successful than others.
Last winter was a little rough on the thing, big ice and high winds so we're rebuilding differently! (Better?)
Brought some help for the heavy lifting...
But he turned out to be unionized and needed frequent breaks! Useless...
But he perked up near end of shift (don't they all?)
But it turned out to be a false alarm, possible enemy naval patrol passed far out to starboard...
End of first day, concrete poured, tree cut, bracing in... Time for a beer!
Few days interrupted by *ork... and back at it today. Notice the death defying power cord for drilling holes while knee deep in salt water!
Ahhh... A man and his wharf! (dock)
... and what he's looking at! Wonder where the fishing rod is at? I can hear trout splish-splashing...

Re: SUMMER! Yayyy!
Managed to snag a few days off from the 'official' (paying) grind. Thought I would be good to go play... Yayyy!!!
But time is limited... turn off the video, stop playing...
Work fairy has deposited a new toy in the yard, looks like another set-back for the KLX250 acquisition...
Let's dig dirt, move trees, haul rocks!
I can see a RedBull video coming up if I ever finish this goldfish pond!!
One more day of vacation tomorrow! What to do??

Re: SUMMER! Yayyy!
Well... all this running back and forth on our abrasive roads wore out the tires. 6,000 miles... I suppose that's all you get out of Battlax. Tried out the local bike shop, but they wanted $400 ++++ for replacements IF I brought them the wheels.
Turned to the great internet and used canadasmotorcycle.ca to order up Pilot 2's. They arrived at my door on the far edge of the continent in 3 days(!!) $400 all in with free shipping. Can't beat that!
Did the Zen and the Art of Motorcycle thing and mounted them after rebuilding the floor in the garage, AND buying a new set of hex sockets, AND building a home-made balancing stand... I think there is economy in there somewhere...
Anyhoo... it was fun bonding with the little Ninja... It all went back together in less time than I thought.
Thought I'd take a break-in run to see how the dual compound thing works... but something is blocking the garage door.
I smell fall in the air. Time to panic!
