Re: getting ready for the off
Congrats! Enjoyed my holidays in the SW desert, but after watching the TT review shows (with spectacular weather), made me want to go back to the island again.
Contemplated marshaling a time or two (SOF was doing it for the first time and I was thinking of joining him). But, I was spending so much money just to be there, and always so much to see, I never followed through.

I marshalled for over 10 years and had a great time and made some life long friendships that I cherish dearly , for me to go back now it will have to be something special but yes this years weather did make it a good one but as ever contraversial with the Steve Mercer accedent and Dan Kneens death , the Mercer incedent takes a bit of coming to turms with as an ex marshal and knowing how things should have been done , and then for his wife to be told not to let people know how he is getting on stinks , just puts a downer on it for me ,
