Damn it. More pain.
Spent several hours at the local hospital yesterday and it turns out that I have damaged the ligaments in my ankle. No walking and no riding for the next couple of weeks. And it bloody hurts like hell .. Not a happy chap.

Maybe we should start a club. The only good thing is it is my right ankle.

Re: Damn it. More pain.
Sorry to hear of the Ankle woes.
If it makes you feel any better................................
We got a Shite load of snow over night and this morning and afternoon.
Argh!!!
Even if I had 2 good Ankles I couldn't go riding if I wanted too.
Proper rest equals faster recovery.
And of course I wish you a fast recovery as I think Anne and Dexter will have you camping out if your not careful LOL

Got off the bike without stopping it first two separate times in 2011. Once on the left, and once on the right. I had just recovered from the left injury and did the exact same thing on the right. Everybody thought I was faking and forgot which side to limp! The good news is that the pain eventually goes away (but not the shame!)

Re: Damn it. More pain.
Was it a bike related injury? I always get moaned at about the dangers of biking (not that it isn't dangerous mind you), but find that most of my injuries come from much more mundane sources.
Which always makes me wish I had been out on the bike instead! At least I would have been doing something FUN when I got hurt.
Good luck with it regardless, of course....

I was about 300 miles from bike when it happened. No alcohol was involved. Just walking in a straight line and my ankle went over.

Yeah, that walking can be dangerous. I was near my bike(s) when I hurt my knee. I was cleaning out some junk from the garage.
