No Joke more pain

Long story short.
I went for a ride with a buddy of mine Saturday.
Yes, even with the torn rotator cuff!! I'm going nuts sitting about had to do something.
Anyway
was riding along a gravel road in the Cypress Hills and my Buddy stops on the side I pull up and stop beside him. and over I go.
Hit the ground on my bad shoulder rolled into the ditch landing on my back. And I have the pics to prove but wont be posting I got one of my toes broken. The Doc says its broken.
Emergency at Maple Creek hospital gave me pain pills told me to go home keep it elevated and rest.
Argh!!

Sounds like the dreaded "I put my foot down, but there was nothing there!" incident!
Must have been a YouTube winning video if you had a GoPro on! How do you get a busted toe by landing on your back!

The only thing I can figure is the foot peg got my toe before I actually rolled into the ditch.
Its a bit of a mystery really.

I applaud your decision to ride in spite of your issues. However, considering your recent history, maybe you should just line a closet in "nerf" material and hang out there for a while?

My only serious(ish) street accident came while I was riding with a healing broken collar bone (from a dirt bike crash)... I didn't feel bikes had been very good to me in that month!

I went to emergency at Medicine Hat Hospital on Friday morning. Its an hour and a half drive from my place. My Buddy Barry drove me.
Dr. says sling wont do good or bad so I didn't need to wear it all the time. The ortho surgeon ordered Ultra sound tests for me. July 12 is the earliest. Go figure!! So I sit with my throbbing busted toe and gritting teeth but I;m riding. What more damage can I do?? hahaah

Timmy, July 12 is the earliest????? Wow, this is what we look forward to with Obamacare.....

The clinic told me they have one person that performs this type of ultra sound and it cant be done prior to July 12. That's our medical system.
On the other hand if I was bleeding to death things would be different.
It's frustrating having to wait but there really is nothing a person can do but wait.

July 12?? That's nothing! That's almost before it happened in relation to some waits! We Canucks are tough and learn to live with pain! On the plus side... It'll be a free picture when it finally gets done!
