146 years young and we still have lots of trees and rocks and water as well as being the second largest country on the planet and if Russia shrinks we could be the biggest some day.

And NOW we really have seas on all three sides too! Thanks to global warming... We can sing about "sea to shining sea - to shining sea'...
I spent the day in true Canadian fashion, trying to get the wharf in without getting wet... Water is still a little chilly. Only fireworks were associated with the big rock I dropped at one point...

We had a work emergency this weekend, and I put in a gazillion or so hours. So, my brain is in kind of a demented "free association" mode right now (or at least more so than usual).
In reading your post, I was reminded of this song (by America)...
"A Horse With No Name"
On the first part of the journey
I was looking at all the life
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
There was sand and hills and rings
The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz
And the sky with no clouds
The heat was hot and the ground was dry
But the air was full of sound

Wharf in? Do you mean Lord John Whorfin? Are you Buckaroo Banzai?
(Sorry for the obscure "Buckaroo Banzai" reference there, as I said, it has been a long weekend...)

and my wife always gives me grief about the 'wharf' thing! She claims it should be a 'dock', but I was brought up on a 'wharf'...
and no! Not this 'Worf'
